The EU will invest EUR 1.1 billion in ESF+ funds in Lithuania to support social cohesion and help people to boost their skills for the green and digital transition. The funds will contribute to reducing poverty and income inequality by improving the design of the tax and benefit system and providing better access to good quality social and health services.

All ESF+ investments will contribute to achieve Lithuania's 2030 targets under the European Pillar of Social Rights to raise the employment rate to 80.7%, adult participation in education and training to 57.3% and to curb poverty and social exclusion with 223 000 fewer people at risk.

The ESF+ funds in Lithuania are implemented through the EU Funds’ Investments Programme, which covers all cohesion funding via the ESF+, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the Cohesion Fund (CF) and the Just Transition Fund (JTF).
