Gender and ICT

‘Gender and ICT’ links ICT and gender and seeks to promote professions in a sector largely dominated by men. Attracting more women will ensure a more diverse gender mix in the ICT sector. The project’s actions aimed to raise awareness of the diversity of computer professions, deconstruct gender stereotypes related to the sector, and support a change of mindset to make these jobs equally attractive to women and men.
The ‘Gender and ICT’ project organised animations, debates and conferences in schools (Wallonia), associations, guidance/training centres; provided information and orientation towards ICT training and professions; provided introduction sessions to programming.
