Vote for your favourite REGIOSTARS finalist in the 2024 competition!

The public vote for the REGIOSTARS 2024 competition – a label of excellence for EU cohesion policy projects – is open until 9 October 12:00 CET on the official REGIOSTARS website!

The project with the most votes will receive the Public Choice Award, which will be announced at the REGIOSTARS Awards Ceremony on 9 October during the 22nd European Week of Regions and Cities at Autoworld, Brussels.

This year, four outstanding ESF-funded projects are among the 25 finalists chosen by the jury out of a record 262 applications across the competition’s five categories.

Categories

  • 1: A COMPETITIVE AND SMART EUROPE: Promoting competitiveness, innovation and economic resilience
  • 2: A GREEN EUROPE: The green transition as the enabler of regional development
  • 3: A CONNECTED EUROPE: Enhancing mobility and connectivity between regions
  • 4: A SOCIAL AND INCLUSIVE EUROPE: Achieving a more inclusive Europe by harnessing regional talents
  • 5: A EUROPE CLOSER TO THE CITIZENS: Fostering the sustainable development of all types of territories

Featured ESF-funded finalists

  • O Krok (Czechia): This project helps people with disabilities find employment by identifying workplace barriers and promoting inclusive practices, benefiting both employees and employers.
  • Realiza.te: a Collaborative Journey (Portugal): By focusing on targeted interventions, Realiza.te reduces Early School Leaving and enhances educational equity, setting a standard for collaborative educational improvement.
  • Human Power Hub (Portugal): A social innovation centre in Braga that supports entrepreneurial projects with social impact, fostering collaboration across sectors to tackle local challenges.
  • Towards POSSIBILITIES (Lithuania): Develops community-based services for people with mental or intellectual disabilities, promoting independence and social integration.
