Escola Árvore is a school focused on active citizenship and the development of training in areas that require artistic skills. Learning activities are financed by the European Social Fund within the Human Capital Operational Programme.

Located in the historical area of the city of Porto, the Artistic and Professional School focuses particularly in the field of plastic expressions, with new technologies as a complementary tool.

Its educational project is aimed at an education-oriented attitude towards the development of creativity and active participation in the defence of the fundamental values of freedom, peace and tolerance, as well as cultural and environmental heritage assets, in line with UNESCO's designs of which it is the first school associated.

From the moment all classroom activities were closed on 16 March, due to the coronavirus outbreak, a strategy was quickly implemented that would allow students to follow classroom activities in a non-presidential manner. 70 computers have been provided to students at home to be able to follow the classes.
