A project that makes grants available to graduates so that they can start a new business – or develop an existing one – related to their studies, is helping to fight unemployment and create new jobs in Greece.
"Strengthening the self-employment of higher education graduates", a project created with help from the ESF, is helping to directly address some of the country's most urgent priorities as it continues to recover from the impact of the economic crisis.
By encouraging more graduates to become self-employed, and supporting those who run existing businesses to create new job opportunities for others, the project is helping to tackle the high rate of unemployment affecting those who leave higher education.
