When Rafał finished his degree, finding work should have been easy. But something was wrong: his eyesight was starting to fail.

In fact, Rafał, who lives in northern Poland, was suffering from a serious eye disease which caused him to lose 90% of his vision. He is now legally blind.

Suddenly, pursuing his dream job felt impossible. “I wanted to take up a job related to my interests and qualifications,” he explains. “I did not want to work my whole life where my main duty was to pack screws into boxes.”

Thankfully, a project from Poland’s Integralia Foundation was on hand to help Rafał and others like him.
