As a response to the crisis, food packages were delivered at homes to vulnerable people, including persons with disabilities and people over 65, identified as most at risk from the effects of the COVID-19 crisis.
Between March and June 2020, around 73,000 individuals have benefited from this assistance. €1.5 million have been invested in the programme co-funded by the Fund for the European Aid to the most deprived (FEAD) and carried out by the Bulgarian Red Cross, providing individual food packages, in combination with social measures.
