Asociatia Centrul Cultural Plai is an organization of community engineers, people who design and implement projects with a positive impact on communities. Its mission is to change the surrounding reality for the better and to inspire and support other individuals and organizations to do the same.
For more than 20 years, Centrul Cultural Plai has fulfilled this mission by identifying challenges in various communities and addressing them through both short-term and long-term projects. These initiatives provide solutions at the intersection of education, urban regeneration, social economy, and technology.
AMBASADA is a social economy structure founded by the Centrul Cultural Plai in 2015, with the aim of supporting local communities focused on creating positive impact within the creative and non-profit sectors. As an independent cultural center, AMBASADA was the first initiative of its kind in Romania and is part of the international network TransEurope Halles. It also became the founder of a new entrepreneurial structure, FABER, which continues its mission of preserving and revitalizing the local industrial heritage.
