Tens of thousands of vulnerable children are benefiting from additional classes and access to socio-emotional support, thanks to an EU funded project in Cyprus.

School and Social Inclusion Actions (in Greek: "DRAsis Sholikis ke kinonikis Entaxis", or DRASE), from the Cypriot Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, is taking place in over 100 schools and offers a range of measures aimed at preventing social exclusion. They include new learning and creativity programmes, access to new information and socio-emotional support centres, new school equipment and educational materials, and training programmes for teaching staff.

Project Coordinator Efi Ioannidou said, “With the support of EU Funds, we were given the opportunity to implement targeted and innovative programmes in education, through which multilevel support is provided to students and their families.”
