In Malta, more than a thousand people a year are undertaking further study as part of their employment, with a scheme called Investing In Skills (IIS).
By offering grants to employers, IIS has already enabled 4,790 people to start training, which in turn is increasing productivity and encouraging flexibility and adaptability.
Created by Jobsplus, Malta's employment and training corporation, Investing In Skills has been designed to bridge skills gaps identified by employers.
