The Municipality of Kozani offers a strong institutional role, an active community, and a unique urban environment for testing innovative solutions.
Through EcoZani, we provide access to a real-life urban laboratory, including the transformation of the traditional local Carnival into a “3Z Carnival” (zero waste, zero emissions, zero exclusion). We also offer the emerging Municipal Inclusive Circu-Tech Hub (MICTH), which supports circular practices, entrepreneurship, and community involvement. As lead partner of the EcoZani project, the municipality provides solid governance structures, local policy support, and established collaboration with European networks, enabling knowledge transfer and scalability.

The Municipality of Kozani seeks partners who can contribute expertise, innovation, and community engagement to support the transition towards a circular, low-carbon, and socially inclusive local economy.
We look for organisations with strong knowledge in circular economy models, reuse and upcycling, sustainable event management, community participation, and entrepreneurial support. We value partners who can bring technical know-how, research capacity, or experience in designing and implementing social and green innovation initiatives. Municipalities, academic institutions, SMEs, social enterprises, and NGOs interested in co-developing solutions within the EcoZani framework are highly welcome.
