Fostering Digital Marketing Cooperatives

The objective of this program is to train unemployed youth enrolled in the Youth Guarantee System and to introduce them to the possibilities of self-employment and collective entrepreneurship in the Digital Marketing sector.
Three editions of the programme have been developed in 5 several of Spain: Galicia (Deloa Foundation in A Coruña and Boiro), Basque Country (Garapen), Andalusia (EOI in Seville), and Madrid (Montemadrid Foundation in the San Cristobal neighborhood of Madrid). More than 200 young people participated and are participating in the programs and benefiting from the training and mentoring offered by the program until June 2023. This is a free training program thanks to co-financing from the Social Fund and is part of the Youth Employment Initiative - Youth Guarantee program.

The project consists of three phases:

Training and capacity building in digital marketing and cooperativism
Selection of the best cooperatives and financial support for the establishment of the businesses.
Support and monitoring of the two cooperatives for three months, configuring their portfolio of products and services.
The training is provided by active professionals in the digital marketing industry and experts in the legal, administrative, and accounting development of work cooperatives. Real cases of companies and cooperatives are worked on, developing a simulation environment of the work environment and dynamics. One of the key elements for the EOI Foundation and the European Social Fund has been to have partners with deep knowledge of the territory, such as the Padeia Galiza Foundation, as well as to generate collaboration between public and private institutions willing to support the project's success selflessly, such as the A Coruña Provincial Council (providing financial support), the Boiro and As Pontes Town Halls (collaborating with coworking spaces), and the EY firm (providing "pro bono" support to the cooperative in client search actions and accompanying them in their first professional services).
