In Lahti, Finland, around a hundred people a month are taking advantage of a one-stop-shop offering career advice for people aged over 30.
Vauhdittamo (”Accelerator”) works with people who want education and employment guidance, and offers tailored, one-to-one support. Its services include career consultations, interview practice and advice about CV writing, as well as help with digital skills, such as creating a video CV. It also holds regular events like recruitment fairs and study days.
Because the support offered is led by people’s needs, it has a high success rate, and people who use the service tend to be committed and motivated.
