In the Extremadura province in Spain, a project is helping families caring for disabled children to mitigate the social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project provides subsidies to hire caregivers. This enables parents to return to work knowing that their children are being well looked after.
The ultimate goal of the project is to promote work-life balance for families of children with mental or physical disabilities.
