The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for quality online education in the digital era. Thanks to EU support, Portugal invested almost €100 million in public schools, under the ‘Digital Transition of Education Plan’. The funding is being used to purchase computers, ensure quality internet connections provide vital digital support services helping close to 165,000 students and 80,000 teachers.
