An ESF-supported project is helping parents uncover the best opportunities for their children’s development.
Pre-primary education is crucial for providing the best opportunities for learning and the development of young children. This critical time can therefore represent a pressurised period for parents. Parents may not understand how to best support their child, how to navigate medical or adminsitrative issues or be aware of all educational opportunitie that may be offered.
In Tyrol, Austria, `Building Bridges` attempts to fill this information gap, providing parents with vital aid in finding the best option for their children - as well as support services for themselves. The project pairs pedagogical staff with expert consultants, offering a range of services to parents to assist parents in their research. Building Bridges connects parents with kindergarten offers, provides health care and administration advice and acts as an information warehouse for family programs.
