The European Commission has granted a €3.7 million top-up to the European Social Fund Operational Programme in Bremen to continue support for around 900 young people whose professional future has been impacted by the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The REACT-EU funds will enable them to start new training, or to finish their professional training if they have been dismissed from a company that became insolvent. REACT-EU is part of NextGenerationEU and provides €50.6 billion in additional funding (in current prices) over the course of 2021 and 2022 to the 2014-2020 cohesion policy programmes.
