Etableringslyftet

Etableringslyftet is a cross-municipal initiative involving the municipalities of Upplands Väsby, Sollentuna, and Sigtuna, supported by the European Social Fund and in close collaboration with the Swedish Public Employment Service and regional employers. Etableringslyftet focuses on foreign-born long-term unemployed individuals and recently arrived immigrants, facilitating their integration into the labour market and society. The project has a particular emphasis on women. Etableringslyftet steps in when individuals face difficulties entering the labour market due to a lack of work experience, education, and language skills in Swedish.
Etableringslyftet approaches social sustainability in an innovative manner, where the perspective of the target group is the foundation for all activities and initiatives. Project staff engage in dialogue with - rather than merely inform - the target group on critical themes regarding the individual’s role and responsibilities within society. This involves providing integrated information that is otherwise delivered to the target group at different times by different actors.
At the same time, the project works closely with employers, addressing their perspectives and needs, thereby contributing to the region's workforce recruitment.
In addition to individual-based support, Etableringslyftet also organizes cross-municipal recruitment events, benefiting other job seekers within various municipal services. Our language and cultural support staff communicate in the participants' native languages, facilitating a deeper understanding of Swedish society and the labour market.
Etableringslyftet is co-financed by the European Social Fund and has received funding through it in three phases since 2018, most recently under a call for proposals within Program Area E, Social Innovation. The current project is funded through December 2025.
