The Accessible School Model

Accessible School logo
The Accessible School Model includes accessibility standards for primary schools but can also be applied in educational institutions of other types. It sets architectural standards in the accessibility of school infrastructure, like access zones to buildings, entrances, classrooms, specialized offices, sports halls, dining facilities, libraries, sanitary amenities, and other relevant areas. The educational aspect of accessibility standards covers individualization of teaching, issues related to ensuring the fulfillment of special needs, enhancing the competence and qualifications of staff, providing transportation to schools and many others.
