Participants in Poland’s “Cook Spanish” project have been preparing for life and work in Spain by learning a range of professional skills... and the secrets of Mediterranean cuisine.
What better way to learn about a country's culture than through its food?
Delivered by Poland's PROACTIVE Foundation for Competence and Entrepreneurship Development and co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF), The Cook Spanish project helps young Polish people to prepare for life and work in Spain by learning a range of professional skills.
People taking part in the project, who are from the region of Lesser Poland, are aged between 18 and 35, and not in employment, education or training. At least half are people with disabilities, or long-term unemployed or were early school leavers, and all are at risk of social exclusion.
