Facts, figures and project examples

The ESF+ funds tens of thousands of projects across the European Union that make a real difference to the lives of millions of individuals. The links below offer facts, figures and project examples from the ongoing implementation of the European Social Fund (ESF), the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI), the Fund for European Aid to the most Deprived (FEAD) and the EU programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI), which are all integrated into the new European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) for the funding period 2021-2027.

  • The EU’s cohesion data portal offers data on the budgetary allocations of ESF+ and related funds, and how the money is being spent, including data on the FEAD and the REACT-EU recovery instrument.
  • The Kohesio platform presents data on projects and beneficiaries. Visitors can select by country, theme, a specific year and/or fund.
