- Missing Children Europe (MCE), the European Federation for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children, represents a network of 35 NGOs across Europe. We work with professionals who assist missing children, children at risk of going missing, and their families. Our work spans prevention and support for different categories of children going missing, including:
• children who run away from home or institutional care,
• children in migration,
• children abducted by one of their parents,
• children in situations of trafficking and exploitation, and
• children who are victims of tech-facilitated grooming.
MCE supports partners through research, training, advocacy, awareness raising, and by facilitating exchange and cross-border cooperation. We coordinate the 116 000 missing children hotlines and the Cross-Border Family Mediators Network, and bring the advantages of a European-wide network, perspectives from across the region, and direct engagement with EU decision-makers. - Looking for
- In partnerships, we look for organisations, agencies, authorities and think tanks that complement this work—whether through research, policy expertise, or direct service provision and engagement with children and young people at risk. Together, we aim to build more effective, holistic, and integrated child protection systems across Europe.
