ESEK offers strong expertise in community energy governance, biomass supply chain development and the implementation of socially inclusive, locally anchored energy solutions. With over 380 members and established cooperation with local authorities and SMEs, the organisation provides a tested model for integrating agricultural, forestry and municipal biomass into sustainable energy systems. It also offers hands-on experience in operating bioenergy infrastructure (e.g. pellet production and biomass heating systems) and engaging local stakeholders in the energy transition

The Energy Community of Karditsa (ESEK) seeks partnerships with municipalities, research organisations, social enterprises, and private-sector actors active in renewable energy, circular bioeconomy, and community-led innovation. In particular, ESEK is interested in collaborations that support the development and scaling of biomass value chains, renewable heating solutions, and citizen-driven energy models. Potential partners may contribute expertise in technology development, financing mechanisms, policy support, digital tools, or replication of community energy schemes in other regions.
