ALMA Andalucía – Empowerment Mobility Programme from DYAR
We are currently implementing the "ALMA Andalucía" project funded under the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) regional framework (regulated under the Order of 12 October 2025). Additionally, we have recently submitted a new application for a targeted mobility project focused on young women and are currently awaiting the official funding decision.
Our organisation primarily addresses vulnerable young NEETs (aged 18–29) with a strong focus on social inclusion, gender equality, and socio-labour integration. For our current and planned ALMA mobility flows, our main target groups include:
- Young people from a disadvantaged or minority background, with a specific focus on the empowerment, autonomy, and inclusion of vulnerable young women.
- Low skilled young people and young people without work experience seeking entry-level practical training to successfully access the labour market.
- Early school leavers and economically inactive youth participating in our local community and digital literacy programmes.
Our planned group size typically ranges from 8 to 12 participants per mobility.
Estimated Period of Implementation is next years, 2026 and 2027
The duration of the stay abroad for our participants is 2.5 months (typically structured as 10 weeks or 70 days depending on the specific flow).
Our mobility flows are fully flexible, and we completely adapt our planning to the specific implementation periods established in each project call. However, based on our experience, we strategically aim to schedule our flows during three main periods of the calendar year to ensure optimal integration into the hosting work environments:
- Pre-Summer Mobility: Flows can be scheduled from March onwards.
- Summer Mobility: Flows usually occur between July and September (e.g., our current active flow runs from July 13 to September 10).
We actively seek reliable transnational hosting partners capable of providing a safe, structured, and compliant environment, including:
- Accommodation: Fully equipped shared apartments or student-style residences where participants can develop independent living skills while remaining close to their peers. We also require clear coordination regarding subsistence or group meal management.
- Hosting Structure for Work-Related Experience: High-quality internship placements (5 hours per day) tailored to the specific profiles, backgrounds, and professional interests of our participants (with focus areas in hospitality, tourism, administration, commerce, social care, or environmental/animal preservation).
- Support & Mentoring: A dedicated local tutor for daily check-ins and crisis management; logistical integration support (such as airport transfers and arranging local public transport passes); and basic local language training alongside cultural orientation activities.
Asociación DYAR has extensive expertise in managing local youth inclusion, gender equality initiatives, and European mobility projects:
- ALMA Andalucía Programme: We have direct experience as an active sending organisation, successfully coordinating mobility flows to Portugal (collaborating with Omnis Factum Associação for 10-week work placements at Fundação Salinas do Samouco and Associação Animais Sem Fronteiras) and to Italy (collaborating with Valida for mobility subsistence and integration).

Regional Specifics: We are located in Malaga, Andalusia, a vibrant coastal region with an excellent public transport network and a highly dynamic service, tourism, and social economy sector.
Type of Placements: High-quality, entry-level internships (typically 5 hours per day) in sectors such as hospitality, tourism, administration, commerce, social care, digital skills, and environmental or animal preservation.
Type of Accommodations: Fully equipped shared apartments or student-style residences located in safe, well-connected residential areas, enabling independent living while remaining close to local tutors and peers. We source and select these accommodations dynamically for each incoming flow, balancing the specific calendar availability of the requested dates with the background and interests of the group.
Accessibility & Special Needs: Our local facilities and selected partner companies prioritize inclusivity. Accommodation and workplace adjustments can be coordinated on a case-by-case basis depending on the specific profile and needs of the incoming group.
We offer comprehensive, 360-degree local support to ensure the safety and success of the participants' stay:
- Internship Matching & Placement: We take full responsibility for sourcing, securing, and coordinating internship placements that align with the participants' professional profiles, interests, and skill levels across our network of local partner companies.
- Logistical Support: Airport pick-up/drop-off, local transport pass management, and comprehensive welcome orientation.
- Leisure & Cultural Programme: We take full charge of planning and organising local cultural visits, excursions, and leisure activities, ensuring the incoming group experiences the regional heritage and integrates smoothly into the local community.

Our organization offers flexible hosting windows throughout the year, fully adapting to the specific timelines set by the sending partners' calls. Based on our operational framework, we are highly capable of hosting incoming groups of up to 15 participants, with a major availability window starting from October 2026 onwards, as well as during pre-summer and summer periods.
There are no major restrictions. We require incoming flows to be coordinated at least 2 to 3 months in advance. This timeline is essential for our team to properly match the specific professional profiles, sectors of interest, and language levels of the participants with our network of local companies and secure the most suitable accommodation.
