SciComic

A showcase of an early prototype of SciComic on the research paper selection screen, prior to comic translation.
Students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD or dysgraphia face major barriers in accessing academic texts, leading to lower degree completion rates, while researchers often struggle to disseminate their work beyond small academic circles despite growing science communication requirements. SciComic uses reliable generative AI to translate complex research papers into engaging, fact-checked comics, enabling students to learn faster and more effectively while helping researchers reach wider non-expert audiences. By providing an inclusive, efficient and scalable solution, SciComic reduces cognitive load, supports equal access to higher education and maximises research impact. With strong potential for mainstreaming through universities, scientific journals and the growing global EdTech market, the platform is positioned for international upscaling and future expansion into broader science communication tools.
