Problem addressed
onCOGITE offers a programme of about twenty cognitive rehabilitation sessions that continues to welcome an increasing number of beneficiaries, with over 90% satisfaction. Our platform allows beneficiaries to book appointments more than two months in advance and enables smooth organisation of videoconferences with their neuropsychologist. A web application supports and intensifies the final phase of the rehabilitation journey by enabling autonomous practice for one year.
Innovative solution
The programme is based on weekly 1.5-hour workshops via videoconference, supervised by qualified neuropsychologists. These intensive sessions, much like physical exercise, provide real benefits in terms of cognitive functioning, quality of life, and social impact.
Specialist professionals focus on several key areas to help restore cognitive abilities:
- Therapeutic education for patients;
- Psycho-education and metacognition;
- Learning cognitive strategies to adapt to new capacities;
- Intensified individual work within multi-level groups.
Key results and benefits
- The organisation of workshops, offering a wide range of about 100 online sessions from Monday morning to Saturday noon, allows our beneficiaries to follow the programme consistently with maximum comfort and flexibility at a reduced cost.
- This regularity of weekly sessions ensures good cognitive recovery from 15 sessions onwards, as demonstrated by the randomized "e-oncogite" study led by the Labpsy at Bordeaux University, to be published in autumn 2025 (see attached files).
- This programme is particularly suited for individuals wishing to return to work after a 1 to 2-year medical leave for cancer treatment.
- In 2025, we conducted an impact study on "cognitive remediation and return to work," which will also be published this autumn (see attached files).
- We have adapted this project for young people aged 15 to 25, a specific target group called AJA. Within six months, the onCOGIT’aja adaptation engaged 75 young people who were facing isolation due to difficulties in their studies or access to employment.
Potential for mainstreaming
Our tools and methods having proven their effectiveness, we are being approached by hospitals in neighbouring countries. We are ready to transfer our expertise, train professionals, adapt our tools, and support organisations wishing to develop a similar programme.
