Problem addressed

Migration policies and public discourses across Europe have become increasingly restrictive, contributing to fear, misinformation, and social polarization. Despite the vital contributions of migrants, their stories are often reduced to numbers or threats, limiting empathy and social cohesion. There is a lack of shared tools and frameworks to evaluate and demonstrate the transformative impact of migration education in this context. MEETT addresses this gap by supporting practitioners with accessible M&E tools to promote inclusive narratives and evidence-based advocacy.

Innovative solution

MEETT develops a shared framework and interactive M&E tools specifically tailored to migration education. By co-creating these tools with field practitioners across Europe, the project ensures their relevance, adaptability, and usability. This approach empowers youth workers and educators to measure and showcase the social impact of their work, reinforcing advocacy efforts with concrete data. MEETT also fosters cross-border collaboration, contributing to the professionalization and recognition of migration education as a lever for social transformation.

Potential for mainstreaming

MEETT is designed for long-term impact and broad transferability. The project includes the development of a training course to support the use and appropriation of the M&E tools, ensuring their continued use beyond the project’s lifetime. 

By generating concrete evidence of the impact of migration education, MEETT strengthens advocacy efforts at the European level and contributes to the recognition of migration education as a key driver of social cohesion. 

Additionally, the project will establish national communities of practice, fostering peer learning and collaboration among actors in the field. These communities are intended to continue beyond the project, anchoring its tools and approaches in lasting local dynamics.
