The project innovatively combines two opportunities for women in the Leader regions “Nationalpark OÖ
Kalkalpen" and “Traunviertler Alpenvorland":
- Opportunity Digitalization
- Opportunity New Work
by establishing a new competence network “Frauenzukunft-Digitalisierung-New Work” with the participation
of the target group and with strategic partnerships (both Leader regions, the regional managment of Steyr-
Kirchdorf, the IT-employer network "IT-Experts Austria" and both education und employer networks of Steyr
and Kirchdorf). This type of project is unique in Austria to date and is particularly socially innovative in terms
of its participatory openness to innovative processes and products.
Objectives and target groups:

synergies of cooperation, networking and exchange.
The project's activities relate both to the direct target group of women and to companies, organizations and
initiatives as an indirect target group.

The competence network offers a new structure, resources and openness for the participatory development
and implementation of concrete offers according to the needs of women.
The project includes activities in 5 work packages:

In this work package, specific challenges, barriers and challenges in the context of digitalization and New
Work to improve the income situation of women are identified in close cooperation with the strategic
partners: Women, initiatives and organizations are involved in a participatory manner in the development of
concrete content for the implementation of the competence network (WP2 & WP3).

be developed. These relate to educational, coaching, cooperation or networking offers in the context of
income improvement - digitalization - new work.
2) WP 2 - Competencies: Training and coaching

opportunities in IT professions and new forms of work are made accessible to women in the region.

of women. On the one hand, they serve as a basis for exploiting the opportunities offered by digitalization
and new forms of work. On the other hand, a focus is placed on professional orientation for work and training
in IT professions.

established, which aims to identify and use local/regional resources. This not only enables individual
improvements, but also promotes collective empowerment. The content of the network is geared towards the
needs of women (see WP 1) and includes several possible face-to-face and digital activities, such as
networking events, resource pooling, collaborations and ideas workshops.
4) WP 4 - Anchoring: Public relations and sustainability

the region and to inform and sensitize women to the topic. The following activities contribute to a sustainable
impact of the project: Through the support of the strategic project partners and other partners of the Steyr
Women's Foundation, the project is embedded in further regional developments and activities as well as funding programs. In addition, a model description is being developed that will enable the project to be rolled out to other regions.
