"Hero’s Journey” – a unique educational program that helps children develop self-esteem, empathy, and self-confidence.
It is a program that strengthens children’s awareness and provides practical skills in self-reflection, self-regulation, stress resilience, and partnership. Through movement, creativity, games, and group activities, children learn to recognize their emotions, manage impulses of anger or stress, and collaborate with others. The program fosters long-term positive changes in classroom climate and strengthens children’s psychological resilience.
“Hero’s Journey” is a path towards stronger community, self-awareness, and emotional strength through movement, creativity, self-reflection, and shared experience.
The program consists of 6 themes and 18 lessons. Each theme includes 3 lessons of 45 minutes. “Hero’s Journey” follows a rhythm: sitting together in a circle for greetings, engaging in movement and activities, and returning to the circle for closure.
A key element of the program is the Self-Reflection Space – a tool that helps children notice and regulate their emotional state. It is introduced in the third lesson of the first module and used in every session:
At the beginning, participants notice their emotional state and mark it in the Self-Reflection Space.
At the end, they re-evaluate whether and how their state has changed and reflect on what may have influenced this shift.
Throughout the program, children learn simple methods to self-regulate: what to do when they feel too tense (high zone) and how to activate themselves when lacking energy (low zone). Through various exercises, they practice returning to their optimal state – calm yet focused and ready to learn.
Training formats available:
Intensive cycle – 6 sessions, each including 3 lessons.
Extended journey – 18 weeks with 1 lesson per week.
The methodological toolkit includes:
“Hero’s Journey” video presentation
A folder of lesson plans
Self-Reflection Space poster and tools for marking states
Core materials for conducting lessons
Selected activities presented in video format
