EMPOWERING PARTNERSHIPS FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION- EPSI

The project aims to contribute to the development of an effective social finance market in Bulgaria, by designing and piloting new approaches to financing of social enterprises based on combination of non-financial and repayable financial support.
The project is implemented by a Consortium, where BCAUSE is leading and our partners include SIS Credit and The Fund of Funds from Bulgaria, Banca Etica from Italy, PULSE SOS and IBA from France, and the Microfinance Center. The partners will work towards the following more specific objectives:
1. To increase understanding and knowledge about social impact among investors in Bulgaria and contribute to embedding social values in their investment practices;
2. To support the building of mindset and skills for growth among social entrepreneurs to raise their investment readiness.
3. To create clear pathway for new social finance instruments adequate to the needs of Bulgarian SE and expectations of Bulgarian investors.
4. To pilot a prototype novel financial instrument for SEs, blending financial and non- financial components.
5. To facilitate the creation of a business angel investment network for SE in Bulgaria.
6. To create favourable conditions for continuous progress in the interaction between the stakeholders in the Bulgarian social finance ecosystem and improvements of the regulatory and supportive framework
