COEXIST is a cross-border social innovation initiative promoting the inclusion of Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria and Romania through collaboration between communities, NGOs, and academic partners. The project’s innovative approach is driven by the expertise of the University of Wroclaw (Poland), which leads the development of research-based methodologies and mentorship models for social inclusion. By combining academic knowledge with community engagement, COEXIST empowers local actors to design and implement effective solutions for refugee integration. Through mentoring, capacity building, and social entrepreneurship, the project fosters solidarity, participation, and resilience—creating a replicable European model for inclusive and sustainable societies.
