
The public vote for the REGIOSTARS 2025 competition – a label of excellence for EU cohesion policy projects – is open until 15 October 12:00 CET on the official REGIOSTARS website!
The project with the most votes will receive the Public Choice Award, which will be announced at the REGIOSTARS Awards Ceremony on 15 October during the European Week of Regions and Cities.
This year, three outstanding ESF-funded projects are among the 25 finalists chosen by the jury out of a record 266 applications across the competition’s five categories.

- A COMPETITIVE AND SMART EUROPE: Promoting competitiveness, innovation and economic resilience
- A GREEN EUROPE: The green transition as the enabler of regional development
- A CONNECTED EUROPE: Enhancing mobility and connectivity between regions
- A SOCIAL AND INCLUSIVE EUROPE: Achieving a more inclusive Europe by harnessing regional talents
- A EUROPE CLOSER TO THE CITIZENS: Fostering the sustainable development of all types of territories
ESF-funded finalists
In A social and inclusive Europe, three ESF-funded projects are in the final selection:
- P.I.U. Su.Pr.Eme – Individualised exit routes from exploitation (Italy) – a public-driven programme supporting the social and labour inclusion of migrants.
- Social Inclusion Incubator (Poland) – an incubation model that developed innovative solutions for people at risk of exclusion.
- Early support for families at risk (Czechia) – hospital-based screening and tailored follow-up to connect new mothers with timely psychosocial help.
