The ESF+ Social Innovation Plus (SI+) initiative has announced the results of its latest EU-level call for proposals on long-term unemployment. Nine transnational projects will receive a total of €22 million to scale up and transfer 17 proven local solutions in 15 EU Member States.
These projects will adapt successful approaches – such as personalised coaching, stronger links with employers and inclusive job opportunities – to new local contexts. By working with municipalities, non-profits, civil society and businesses, they aim to give people who have been out of work for over a year a fair and lasting chance to rejoin the labour market.
SI+ helps transfer and expand innovative solutions to challenges in employment, education, skills and social inclusion. It combines EU-level funding for transnational projects with knowledge-sharing activities, enabling tested ideas to reach more people and more places across Europe.
